Alma stands on land with a long and layered history. Once farmed in the early 1900s, the area was annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1913 and later purchased by the University of Alberta in 1930. For decades, the lands supported the University’s Agriculture and Farming faculty, shaping the site’s legacy of learning, cultivation, and growth.
Alma reimagines what urban living can be. Spanning 240 acres in the heart of Edmonton and nestled along the natural corridor of Whitemud Creek, this new community will blend modern design, connected streets, mixed-use spaces, and everyday conveniences – all within minutes of the city’s most vibrant districts. Thoughtfully planned and purposefully built, Alma is where people, nature, and opportunity meet.
