Greg Dewling

President and Chief Executive Officer

Greg is the President and CEO of University of Alberta Properties Trust. Greg brings a depth of knowledge in community engagement, real estate development, financing, and government relations.

Over the years, Greg has led the development of numerous affordable housing projects in the city of Edmonton. His work included a first-of-its-kind joint venture with private sector to integrate affordable housing into market housing through a 50/50 partnership. In addition, Greg negotiated the first in Canada bond issue for long-term financing for use in developing affordable housing. He also launched a consulting firm within a public housing agency that delivered services to other housing agencies across Canada.

He has been a member of the Provincial Minister’s Housing Advisory Committee and sits on numerous other boards and committees.  He holds a Bachelor of Theology and Master of Business Administration along with an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors-Rotman School of Management.

He regularly shares his experiences throughout the country in the areas of community engagement, development, partnerships, shared services, information technology, innovation, customer service, and governance.

Taizeel Adatia

Chief Financial Officer

Taizeel Adatia serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the University of Alberta Property Trust, where her expertise in finance, particularly within the realms of real estate and construction, is truly invaluable. With a wealth of experience, Taizeel adeptly leverages her financial and operational prowess to optimize financial procedures and reporting, thereby enriching the organization’s overall financial landscape.

A distinguished professional, Taizeel holds a CPA, CA designation, alongside a Masters in Professional Accounting (MPAcc) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Alberta. Her extensive industry background spans across various sectors, including residential and multi-family construction, technology and innovation, utility and energy, as well as the not-for-profit domain.

Beyond her professional commitments, Taizeel champions community development and dedicates her time to various local organizations. Additionally, she passionately advocates for fostering diversity and empowering women within the workplace, embodying a commitment to creating inclusive and equitable environments.

Keaton Seaby, Manager, Development and Construction - UAPT

Keaton Seaby

Director, Development and Construction

Keaton came to UAPT after serving nearly seven years with the City of Beaumont in public works, technology, and project management leadership roles.

He completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta and received his P. Eng. designation while working in land development prior to his time in Beaumont.  He also has his PMP designation through PMI.  Project management best practices are important to Keaton as they lay a foundation for successful projects.  Areas of significant experience and expertise are in land development, technology implementation, project management, and construction management.

As a natural leader, the Trust values Keaton’s exceptional ability to manage complex projects and build technology-leveraged solutions that allow streamlining. He is excited about the mission of the UAPT and being able to contribute. Keaton is enthusiastic about designing and developing spaces that Edmontonians will cherish for generations to come. He is keen on building community and delving into the cutting edge of the modern urban life.

Jill Curtis, Project Coordinator - UAPT

Jill became an integral part of the UAPT team in late 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous roles in land development. Her significant contributions in shaping neighborhoods across the Edmonton, Calgary, and Okanagan regions reflects her passion for creating vibrant communities.

Embarking on her career in the land development and new home industry in 2004, Jill has honed diverse expertise and forged strong connections within the sector. While her primary focus has centered on sales and marketing, she has also played a key role in various facets of the land development process, contributing to maximizing the potential of each parcel. This holistic approach positions her as a vital player in bringing communities to life and fostering the overall growth of our city.

Jill holds a B.Sc. in Human Ecology, with a specialization in consumer and family studies from the University of Alberta. Additionally, she has a diploma in marketing from NAIT, further enhancing her well-rounded profile. Her academic background adds depth to her understanding of the human element in community development, making her a seasoned and versatile team member.
