Glenn Stowkowy

Glenn Stowkowy received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1976 and, since graduation, has worked as an electrical engineering consultant as a professional engineer. He is
currently a Director and Past President of the Fusion Energy Council of Canada, a group dedicated to seeking support for fusion energy as an alternative energy source.
Glenn previously served as the representative for Alumni Council on the University of Alberta Board of Governors. He is a Past-President of the University of Alberta Alumni Association, and a former Senator of the university. Over his forty-year career, Glenn has been the electrical consultant on numerous notable projects, many of which are on the University of Alberta campus.
He was also the electrical consultant for the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute at the University Hospital and the significant Terminal Expansions at the Edmonton International Airport and the Calgary International Airport. Glenn is the Engineer of Record for Rogers Place, the City of Edmonton Tower, the JW Marriott Hotel/Legends Residences Tower, and the Stantec Tower. Glenn served on a number of community oriented organizations such as the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society, and the Illuminating Engineering Society. Glenn coached hockey in St. Albert for 14-years and refereed for 7-years for Hockey Alberta.
