Mr. Goss has Chaired some ground-breaking initiatives, which include acting as the inaugural Chairman of the Molson Canadian Heritage Classic, the first ever outdoor National Hockey League regular season hockey game on November 22nd, 2003 at Commonwealth Stadium. He has also Co-Chaired the 2010 Grey Cup, and has been the inaugural Chair of a number of initiatives, including Gold Medal Plates (in support of Canadian Olympic athletes), and Chaired the Hockey Canada Gala, honouring our 2010 Men’s and Women’s Gold Medal winning hockey teams in Edmonton, Alberta in June of 2010. Mr. Goss was also a founder and a Director of B2ten, an organization supporting elite athletes in Canada.

Mr. Goss has served as the founding Chairperson in a number of organizations, including the Fort Edmonton Management Company and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. Mr. Goss has also served as a volunteer fundraiser for numerous organizations, including the Fort Edmonton Foundation, the Kid’s Kottage Foundation, The Support Network, and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Mr. Goss was named Edmonton’s “Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser” in 2001.

Mr. Goss is committed to higher education, and in this regard served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta from February 2, 2012 to August 31, 2015. Mr. Goss also served as Chairman of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (“NAIT”) “Building on Demand” Campaign, which raised $80 million. He was also a member of the Board of Governors of NAIT for eight years, the final two years of which he served as Chair.
